When you get to the airport, they check to make sure your carry on is not too heavy. If it is,they will require that you take out some things. You will then be forced to pull to the side and evaluate what it is you don't really have to take with you. If you can't part with anything, you either check the bag,or you can't board the plane. When it is time to fly you can not take excessive baggage with you. Imagine, that there was no limit to how many bags you could carry on? There would be no room for people because the plane would be full of everyone's luggage. It would be so heavy that it would never get off of the ground. And if it did, it wouldn't be more than a few inches. Any form of transportation you choose to take, will give you a limit to how much you can bring with you. That's just it. To get from point A to point B, some things HAVE to be left behind.
We have to look at our destiny the same way, in order to fly to the heights God has called us to, we must leave some luggage on the ground. We must check some things and people in our lives. The higher you want to go, the more things you have to let go of. An eagle could never soar with bricks tied to his back, a plane can't fly with an excessive amount of baggage and YOU can't be launched into your destiny carrying around hurts, disappointments, and other pains from your past.
God has been showing me that often times the things we think we "NEED" to take with us are simply chains holding us down. In Philippians 4:19 it says that God will provide everything we NEED. It is time to evaluate positions in our lives. We need to figure out who and what is important enough to be a carry on,to be checked...and who and what things shouldn't even be allowed to travel with you, to your next journey. Lets thank God for the people he brings in our lives for a season but lets also not get confused about the fact that just because they are apart of your now, doesnt mean that they will be apart of your later.
