A lot of times, we don't worry to much about what our soul looks like. I mean lets think about it,if we did we would be a lot more careful of the the things we did and the words we said.
I was talking to a friend recently who smokes and he told me how he didn't want his teeth to get yellow,and how he didn't wanna smell like smoke all the time. It kind of made me laugh. I told him that if he saw what it was doing to his insides his teeth would be the least of his worries.
There are so many of us in a similar situation. We spend so much time making sure our outward appearance looks perfect,mean while our spirit man is ugly. Sorry to break the news to you,but that is ALL that God looks at.
Picture this, every time you lie,cheat,steal,backstab, slander,judge,hurt,or just plan operate outside of Gods will something horrible happened to your outside. What if you got warts on your face, your nose grew, your back hunched over every time with the weight of your sins? We would seriously think twice before we spoke. Imagine being inside out for a day and the only thing that everyone saw was your spirit. How beautiful would you be?
I thought about this because while having deep prayer I realized I had to check my reflection (the real one. ) and it was Not so pretty. I encourage everyone to spend just as much time if not more on your inner being, after all..we are trying to impress God and not man. I promise you God will not care about your nails,hair,etc when it's time for you to meet him.
There is nothing wrong with looking good. After all,the bible says we should take care of the temple that God has blessed us with. The real issue happens when we become so vain with our image that we neglect our spirit . I pray you are all staying in your word,that your mind will be refreshed , renewed, and that we continuously remember to work on our inner beauty,the real us.
